Daniela Clementi (1981, Chile) es una artista multimedial que crea historias íntimas basadas en su vida, sus vínculos cercanos y su entorno inmediato. A través de piezas audiovisuales que exploran los límites entre el documental y la ficción, combina textos, imágenes, sonidos, música y archivos personales para construir paisajes emocionales que capturan la vulnerabilidad y la impermanencia del ser humano. Su obra habita espacios de desorientación y cambio constante, donde nada es fijo y todo está en movimiento.
En estos escenarios —a menudo atravesados por la naturaleza y el contexto que los rodea— teje un tapiz sensible del mundo y de las personas que lo habitan. Su trabajo propone un viaje de observación y reflexión, enmarcado en lo cotidiano, donde el azar es siempre un elemento esencial. Daniela elige trabajar desde la autobiografía, ya que su propia existencia —marcada por la impermanencia, los viajes y las múltiples historias recolectadas a lo largo del tiempo— es la fuente vital de su creación. Su interés genuino por las grietas de la experiencia humana la lleva a observar la fragilidad, los vínculos y las pérdidas con una cámara que nunca intenta imponerse.
Filma sola, sin equipo, como parte de una búsqueda profunda que también define su lenguaje audiovisual. La necesidad irreprimible de expresarse, incluso sin medios ideales, es el motor de su práctica artística. En esa soledad técnica y creativa, encuentra una voz propia como realizadora:
“Andar sola es cansador, es frustrante y absurdo, porque casi nada queda como uno se lo imagina. Abordo el relato como un acertijo que me guía a captar la intimidad de las personas, sus historias y sus contextos. En la película, mi vulnerabilidad, la de la historia y la de mi forma de filmar se revela: estamos yo y mi cámara, siempre con la sensación de estar en un sueño, desnudas, con la imposibilidad de ponernos algo encima.”

Daniela chooses to work from autobiography, as her own existence —marked by impermanence, travel, and the many stories gathered over time— is the vital source of her creative process. Her genuine interest in the cracks of human experience leads her to observe fragility, connection, and loss with a camera that never tries to impose itself. She films alone, without a crew, as part of a deep personal search that also defines her visual language. The irrepressible need to express herself, even without ideal conditions, is the driving force of her artistic practice. In that technical and creative solitude, she finds a voice of her own as a filmmaker:
“Shooting alone is exhausting, frustrating, and absurd, because almost nothing turns out the way you imagined. I approach storytelling as a kind of riddle that leads me to capture the intimacy of people, their stories, and their surroundings. In the film, my vulnerability, the story’s vulnerability, and the way I film are all revealed: it’s me and my camera, always with the feeling of being in a dream, naked, unable to put anything on.”
